چکیده
This paper presents a novel approach for analyzing the free vibration response of variable-stiffness panels. A method is proposed herein, which relies upon combination R-functions and Ritz method. powerful peculiar aspect this consists in possibility handling any complex geometry with reduced modeling effort few degrees freedom to be handled. The so-obtained formulation particular interest early design studies plate- shell-like structures, especially when topological features are concern. Specifically, studying configurations arbitrary shape crucial importance exploiting potential offered by composites nonstraight fibers. Exemplary results presented structures different geometries shapes. comparison against from literature finite element calculations reveals as valuable mean assisting innovative configurations.

buckling of viscoelastic composite plates using the finite strip method
Free vibration analysis of variable stiffness composite laminated thin skew plates using IGA
A NURBS-based isogeometric finite element formulation is developed and adopted to the free vibration analysis of finite square and skew laminated plates. Variable stiffness plies are assumed due to implementation of curvilinear fiberreinforcements. It is assumed due to employment of tow placement technology, in each ply of variable stiffness composite laminated plate the fiber reinforceme...
متن کاملRayleigh-Ritz Method For Free Vibration of Mindlin Trapezoidal Plates
In the present paper, the free vibration of moderately thick trapezoidal plates has been studied. The analysis is based on the Mindlin shear deformation theory. The solutions are determined using the pb-2 Rayleigh-Ritz method. The transverse displacement and the rotations of the plate are approximated by Ritz functions defined as two dimensional polynomials of the trapezoidal domain variables a...

متن کاملInvestigation on Buckling of Orthotropic Circular and Annular Plates of Continuously Variable Thickness by Optimized Ritz Method
This paper investigates symmetrical buckling of orthotropic circular and annular plates of continuous variable thickness. Uniform compression loading is applied at the plate outer boundary. Thickness varies linearly along radial direction. Inner edge is free, while outer edge has different boundary conditions: clamped, simply and elastically restraint against rotation. The optimized RayLeigh-Ri...
